Doctoral Scholarship Presentations
ICPEA invites recent doctoral students to present their capstone/dissertation scholarship at our quarterly meetings. These virtual events will include 15 minutes for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions from and discussion with the audience.

Application Procedure
Presenters must share their screen, use a visual presentation application, and share a hyperlink to the presentation and the capstone/dissertation document. Sometimes, two or more presentations will be scheduled as simultaneous breakout sessions, with audience members choosing which breakout session to attend. Questions may be referred to Dr. David Conrad at [email protected].
Presenters are encouraged to submit their scholarship to the 2025 ICPEL Annual Conference and the ICPEL peer-reviewed journals.
Selection Criteria
- Student must have attended an ICPEA member institution.
- Capstone/dissertation must have been successfully defended within the past two years (or substantially completed).
- Student must have the endorsement of their capstone/dissertation advisor.
- Presentations with implications for Illinois school leadership and leadership preparation are preferred.
Application Procedure
- Send an email to the ICPEA President, Dr. David Conrad, at [email protected].
- Within the body of the email, ask to apply for a Doctoral Scholarship Presentation at a future ICPEA meeting. State the degree program and institution attended, and provide the title and abstract of the capstone/dissertation. Also, provide a brief biography (no more than one paragraph).
- Attach a current resume or vita.
- Include the faculty advisor on the email by carbon-copying their email address (cc:). ICPEA will contact the faculty advisor later for confirmation.
